In 10 years from now...

In 10 years from now I would be living on my own maybe even with friends, but definitely with pets, I would have two cats and a dog the cats will be grey with white stripes and I would have a German Shepard mixed. I would be living in my own condo for a while, but then move into a bigger home as in my own house and I will be living somewhere on the west side of the U.S. for my job I would be working my way up to become a veterinarian, so then I would be in vet school. For my dream car I would get a Jeep Wrangler, but in the color blue. I will not only be working in vet school, but I would be doing what I love most such as my hobbies, playing tennis, crafting, reading, etc. But I  would be happy of my life choices and being happy by what path I chose to take in my life.

Inside out story: 6 states in 8 days

Joy

It was March 28th, 2017 my parents told my older sister, younger brother and I, what was the plan for spring break. Our mom and Dad told us that they wanted to take us on a family road trip, to see Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. We were going to try to get to Colorado in at least 3 days, and that by Friday night we all should be out of the house and on our way to Colorado. With all the excitement me and my sister went straight to packing; my mom helped my younger brother with his suitcase and then packed their own; it was only Tuesday so we were fine. They decided that we were going to leave our cat Roxy and take our dog Sofia; saying that Roxy will be fine home alone since my uncle was going to check in on her every now and then.

Thursday March 30th, 2017 my mom and dad packed the fridge with "loads" of water bottles and soda; filled the freezer with water bottles and filled the snack bag with chips, granola bars, and other snacks for the road, so that when we came home from school we could be packed and ready to go for our "first" family road trip!     (Or a road trip I could actually remember we went on).

On Friday March 31st, after school we started to pack up the truck with what we were going to take for our road trip. We added our bags/suitcases, snacks, and Sofia's bed. Once we're done we ate, said goodbye to Roxy, and left around 10pm. During the drive on the highway my older sister and younger brother had fallen asleep, while I stayed up with my parents, since the energy and excitement I had kept me up later than my brother and my sister. After a long while I had fallen asleep, but then I woke up and found out that we passed all of Iowa and almost all of Nebraska. In the morning everyone was awake, we made pit stops for Sofia to do her "business" and for us to sightsee the rural urban Nebraska.

We decided to drive down to Kansas to get to Colorado quicker; as morning turned into evening we finally arrived at Golden, Colorado. We decided to get a hotel, we chose La Quinta to stay at. When we got a room it was around 6:30pm and decided to rest so we could go sightseeing. The next day we left around 11pm, since that's when they would "kick us out" if your only staying 1 day. We saw huge and amazing mountains which my mom is in love with, and took pictures of the Denver Broncos stadium and then headed to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon.

We had to go through Utah and stay at a hotel to rest and headed back on the road. The next day we finally arrived at Arizona making many pitstops at rivers, canyons, and other rock formations., such as Monument Valley. During that time we collected many souvenirs and many family pictures. When we got to flagstaff, Arizona we stayed at Days Inn hotel for 2 days. When we went to see the Grand Canyon it was amazing, there was many people there but, we payed more attention to the Canyons; to me it was so amazing that it almost didn't seem real, we took many family pictures and rock souvenirs. We went again the next day (our last day there) to say "see you next time". Because we knew we had to come back. On our trip back home I learned that to take an opportunity when I receive one and that going to amazing monuments or national parks isn't the only thing that could make me feel joy or happiness it could be little and big things in life.
